Washington D.C. is well known for being hot and humid during the summer months, especially in July. Summers are often hot and humid. High temperatures can possibly reach 90 degrees Fahrenheit and start to cool off to around 70 at night. The humidity has been known to rise over 90%, making it feel hotter than it seems. The summer months happen to be when the most rain falls, averaging slightly over three inches per month.
During the winter time, the average high during the day can reach 45 degrees, while at night temperatures fall to nearly below freezing. Alexandria often gets a couple inches of snowfall each month during the winter. February holds a record snowfall of 20 inches.
Spring weather is beautiful, with an average high temperature reaching near 65 degrees. There is also little rain.

Typical Weather for Annapolis MD
Annapolis happens to be on the edge of the water, making the area a bit more temperate and damp than other parts of Maryland. Annapolis is rainy for a good part of the year. Most months average over three inches of rain. The winter months can get very chilly, with an average temperature of 33 degrees. Maryland does see a fair amount of snow in the winter all depending on what month it is. January is, by far, the coldest month. June, July, August and September are very pleasant and warm with the normal average temperatures reaching the 70's.
