Trinidad comprises the area north of Florida Avenue (including Gallaudet), north to New York Avenue and east to Bladensburg Road. The US National Arboretum is just east of Bladensburg Road. Given the typical irregularity of boundaries of DC neighborhoods, the MLS considers some parts of Kingman Park and Langston to be Trinidad, as well.

It's easy to watch the transition. Between January 1 and September 16, 2009, 53 homes sold in Trinidad, 43 of them under $200,000. For that same period this year, 37 homes have sold but close to half sold in the 300s up to $400,000. At the same time, the trolley tracks march down H and onto Benning Road, entertainment, restaurants, shops and clubs have hit the intersection of H and Benning and jumped along.
