Penn Quarter (Penn Quarter DC ) is a recently
revitalized down-town neighborhood loosely bounded by Pennsylvania
Avenue to the South, New York Avenue to the North, Massachusetts
Avenue to the West between Third and Tenth Streets (some people
think Fifteenth) Northwest. Or you can say Penn Quarter DC is just
south of Chinatown halfway between the White House and the Capitol.

by three Metro stops (Gallery Place, Archives and Metro Center)
as well as the Circulator Bus, Penn Quarter DC bustles with activity
from early morning to very early morning (or late night). Home to
a terrific mix of business (Weschler’s Auction House, law
offices); museums (National Portrait Gallery and American Art, the
International Spy Museum, the Marian Koshland Science Center, the
National Building Museum, the National Museum of Women in the Arts);
theatres (Woolly Mammoth, Shakespeare, Ford’s, the National
and Warner’s); sports and entertainment (the Verizon Center)
as well as restaurants of all types from A to Z– Jose Andras’
Café Atlantico and Michel Richard’s Centro to Matchbox,
Poste, and Zaytinya. Everytime you turn around in Penn Quarter DC
